Fundación ABRE was born under the protection of the beginning of religious freedom established in article 16 of the Spanish Constitution. Thanks to the efforts of a group of evangelical Christians, who after noticing the multicultural and nondenominational characteristics of this nation, decide to disseminate and inform regarding the evangelical doctrine in this country. Although not publicly, Spain has a deep tradition or “historical rooting” in the evangelical religion, both now and in the past. Even as far back as the 16th century, during the time of the reformation, a great number of evidences of this can be found, so that it can be said that Fundación ABRE follows several generations of Spanish evangelicals that desire to obtain an integrative, religious and cultural platform.
